So yeah that’s why I haven’t been around much in the last week or so. Granted we were only moving like a couple towns over, literally like 10 mins away, but it was a pain in the behind. We stayed at a hotel for a couple nights in between the old house and this new one and my laptop wouldn’t connect to the Hilton’s internet. Why? I don’t know STILL. The thing that had to pop up to put in your room number and name for the free access just wouldn’t come up. It worked on my Kindle at least but I’m taking an online class through Blackboard and guess what doesn’t let you post on it from a Kindle? Blackboard! YAY. Pain in my butt. House is still mad empty and I’m sleeping on an air mattress at the moment thought my dad bought me an awesome yellow angry bird pillow as a sort of housewarming present. Kind of silly because I’m leaving in a week so I’m not even officially getting the room I’m sleeping in right now, it’s going to be my brother’s office/playroom type space where I put down an air mattress or futon when I’m home for the Thanksgiving and Winter breaks.
I’ve also been working a lot to get in as much last minute money as I can before I go back up to my $80 a week max job at school. Also been getting in some quality BFF time since it’s the end of the summer and we’ve done a crap ton of shopping. xD Would you believe I used to have to be dragged to go shopping and in the last two weeks have spent around $300 shopping.
Oh and last week I was also busy but it was for fun stuff for once this summer! Ry’s and my boss hosted pistol classes and I took the intermediate one which was awesome!! Spent $180 in ammo though ugg. The day after I went to Dorney Park with my brother and Ari and Bri who I haven’t seen in probably a year which was nice. Mostly crappy day out though so we didn’t get to go to the waterpark. Rode the coasters and had dinner though.
So yeah I didn’t die or anything, just so y’all know! =)

Yep parents have now opened a new restaurant and of course that means I have re-entered full-time-slave position. But at least this time I’m guaranteed regular paychecks, breaks, and days off. Oh and it’s only til I go back to school in August. =P And something for my resume haha even though it doesn’t count towards experience for my future real job. Though I’m pretty sure that a lot of people expect me to follow my parents footsteps so to speak and take up the restaurant business, at least until I tell them that I’m a Forensic Science and Chemistry major. xD
Anyway, I’ve been working harder than I have in a while though because we had to clean up the place, we painted, rearranged a couple things, hired people, called customers and venders, and opened Friday night! We took over the space 13 days ago, as a reference point. AKA That’s freaking incredible! =P Oh yeah and now we have a bar and seating for like 4 times as many people as we did before, not even counting the banquet hall for catering downstairs! The kitchen was disgusting when we came in though…That took twice as long to clean as we thought it would or we would have been open last Tuesday…
So will I have a life now this summer? I don’t know…Ry is working almost every weekday too so I guess we don’t have too much duel time anyway plus Em and Ari have another serving job plus working our new place so they aren’t free much either. I did get a day off today though! Ry’s uncle took us paintballing today and it was awwwwesome as usual, I could always go for a good day of paintball. I could do without the bruise on my arm which I received only because I got hit twice in the same spot with a ball that didn’t break >_<. Regular welts go away pretty quick by this is a little sore…Ry though got hit in the knuckles several times and they were all swollen until we put a can of Pepsi on them and it started to go down. So I guess the point is I may get enough time off to be happy though we have a hellish weekend coming up at the end of June…we have 5 or 6 parties in 3 days. But after that I’m taking a mini vacation and going to Fencing Masters on the 26th with my brother and then Ry’s for a couple days while his parents are in the Dominican Republic.
XOXO

Well this summer is apparently going to be really…. weird…and crazy. First of all, I’m working so much that I’m probably going to just fall over at some point and sleep for a month straight. We had a wedding on Saturday that I worked for 14 hrs. Good thing: getting like two hundred dollars for just that day.

And apparently Mom is giving me more money for helping her make the hors d’oeuvres earlier last week. And tonight I’m going to Ry’s to sleep over because we’re leaving for Mass at like 5 AM for a business trip to teach a bunch of CPR classes tomorrow and Thursday. And let’s see…we’re moving the restaurant to a location that is twice as big and I’ll be working there until I go back to school. And then sometime soon I’m going to take the CPR instructor class so I can teach my own classes and get mo moneys than when I go as an assistant with Ry. Plus since all the catering equipment (and a bunch of other stuff) is in storage lockers at the moment, every other day I have to help Dad get stuff out (and back in) and rearrange everything as we try and figure out the best places for things as we need them. Oh yeah that’s the other thing, catering is mad busy right now too, we have a whole bunch of weddings coming up and other miscellaneous parties.
This is obviously not including any of the fun stuff that I want to do this summer. =P Like a shooting class in August, staying with Ry for a few days, going up to RI to see Code, going to stay at Elf’s parent’s shore house, Elf’s 21st birthday party, swimming, hiking, and other various hanging out type activities. So yeah crazy summer…oh yeah the weird part being that we’re moving…out of the house I grew up in. But…whatever…I’m planning on basically moving out senior year and staying out if I can anyway…
Stay happy! (Even if it’s rainy by you!)

Well ya know…this is always hard, every year everyone says the same things: lose weight, make money, be more social, etc, etc. But there’s never any plan or structure to it to actually change what they are doing so that these things they want to change will actually happen during the year. So I’m doing mine different this year, I’m going to have my resolutions but as the first steps to getting there instead of the unquantifiable (god I’m a nerd…), unattainble goals they usually are.
1) Pick a day during the week with a specific time to go to the gym every time unless there are VERY extenuating circumstances (like death, money opportunities, unexpected class, large project due next day…). Thus leading to weight loss and getting in shape for summer hiking/backpacking.
2) Find summer job other than waitressing for parents. Start with subbing at MHHS, SIG, CPR instructor.
3) Pay off library fines to save money on not buying books to read them. Thus overall saving money for spring break in Vegas, and maybe eventually fixing up car (like the windshield that an ahole gave me a ticket for yesterday).
4) Look into possible internships for summer 2013 by talking to local labs and actually reading the emails the school sends out. And emailing any contacts of my dad’s.
5) Get student Chase loan done early for next year. ‘Nuf said…
Uck…if I keep going on this is just going to turn into a todo list…And that’ll be even more boring and monotonous since it’s a product of my bad procrastination habits…

I’ve been so busy this past week and will be again this coming week…. Waitressing every night this past week, then a wedding we worked today all day, and I have to do laundry and start packing for school. And oh wait, I have to waitress again most of this week too. All I really want to do is read some books before classes start again, write some, and then get ready for move-in on the 23rd. Oh well at least I have several hundred dollars in the bank. =P
